People have been saying that autism is cased the vaccines they give children when they are younger. I was just wondering if there were any cases of the disease in children that did not have those shots?

Yes, there are many cases of children diagnosed with autism without having had vaccines.

For the past couple of weeks i’ve been having obsessive thoughts and feel lost in my own little world of confusion. I can’t stop thinking about suicide and watching the same movie over and over again. I can talk fluently but when I enter a social situation I psysically can’t talk.
I can’t help rocking backwards and fowards over and over again and banging my head against a brick wall in my house, and I can’t look at someone when i’m talking and people say I look strange and stare into space all the time.
I’m so confused, scared and feel stuck in a cycle that wont end. My question is, does this sound like Autism or Aspergers disorder ?.
What are the symptoms ?.
Please, I’m going mad here…….!!!

Autism: impairment in the use of nonverbal behaviors, failure to develop peer relationships, a lack of spontaneous seeking to share enjoyment, lack of social or emotional reciprocity. delay in the development of language…the list is on going…however it does not account for your suicidal thoughts and this is usually developed in childhood, an adult would not recognize it in themselves.

Aspergers: Also developed in children and not adults.

Go to a doctor. They can diagnose you.

I’ve heard a lot of rumors that autism is caused by vaccines. Do you think this is true? What do you think is or may be some of the reasons for the rising numbers of people with autism?

Vaccines definitely cause autism.
Many of the posters here have no idea what they are talking about and please don’t take my word for anything. I will provide a few links to get you started if you really want to research it.
Maybe its the mmr, maybe the hep b or maybe the flu vaccine. Go here for some inf on the vaccine story.

http://www.whale.to/vaccine/mmr49.html

Each vaccine examined alone is quite a different thing than having 6-9 different injected into an infant bypassing their immune system is quite another.

The vaccine schedule in currently in place is insane.

They are full of mercury,(this despite the idiotic attempt to say vaccines no longer have mercury in them) Sidebar: why lie about removing it if its so safe?

They contain aluminum(a known neurotoxin)

Aborted human fetal tissue-yea that’s right,
formaldehyde and a host of other stuff you don’t even want to know about. Go the the science section here for the complete list. http://www.vaclib.org/

Studies dismissing this are produced/funded by the manufactures of the vaccines to hide this fact.
Ignorant people buy it because they want to believe vaccines are safe.
The parents and doctors of thousands of vaccine injured children beg to differ.

Merck funded the last one. Don’t believe a word of it. It’s propaganda to cover there sorry asses from another costly VIOX type of disaster.
The most recent attempt to explain away the rise of autism is a complete joke. It isn’t funny though when the press just regurgatates any crap they are fed without even bothering to read it or fact check it. It’s shameful

Is there anyone who believes their child was cured of autism? If so, what did you do? Why and how do you think it worked?

Some say yes, but most say recovered since there is always the fear of relapse. But mostly they say recovered because they feel their child was injured, then recovered, like when one is in an accident, and then recovered.

My children no longer have autism. One had all symptoms from birth and treatment was not started till age 14. At age 15, he was in regular school without a need for modifications. Thus, always have hope. It’s done by ridding pathogens and toxins. It’s a bit complicated because many of the pathogens are pleomophic, so take a while to defeat. Plus, their organ systems are not working correctly due to the already stock-piled condition of pathogens and toxins, thus, they can not really handle medicines. Therefore, treatment has to be done slowly, and genlty from various angles of diet, liver support, digestive aids, anti-inflammatories, immune boosters, pathogen-killers and detoxers.

My daughter who’s almost 4 shows several signs of the autism spectrum, but they’re not always consistent. Some days she seems as typical as she can get, then other days she refuses hugs, won’t play with her sisters, stims, and acts as if she doesn’t know her own name. She was also quite late on hitting her 1-2 1/2 year milestones. At this point a diagnosis has not been made, the assessment process has just started and I’m still lost. Is autism something with constant symptoms or do they tend to come and go? Do children with autism have ‘good’ and ‘bad’ days with their condition? I’m just trying to understand what exactly is going on with my little girl. Thanks!
Ok, so maybe she doesn’t act like a ‘completely typical’ 4 year old, but much more ‘normal’ than I’d expect a child who shows signs of autism to act. That’s why I’m so confused, because she had good days and bad days. Also what starts as a good day can quickly spiral into one of her bad days.

Sounds like there is a very good chance she has a seizure condition. Post seizure symptoms can be what you are describing. Have her looked at by a Neurologist.

There are three distinctive behaviors that characterize autism. Autistic children have difficulties with social interaction, problems with verbal and nonverbal communication, and repetitive behaviors or narrow, obsessive interests. These behaviors can range in impact from mild to disabling.

The hallmark feature of autism is impaired social interaction. Parents are usually the first to notice symptoms of autism in their child. As early as infancy, a baby with autism may be unresponsive to people or focus intently on one item to the exclusion of others for long periods of time. A child with autism may appear to develop normally and then withdraw and become indifferent to social engagement.

Children with autism may fail to respond to their name and often avoid eye contact with other people. They have difficulty interpreting what others are thinking or feeling because they can’t understand social cues, such as tone of voice or facial expressions, and don’t watch other people’s faces for clues about appropriate behavior. They lack empathy.

Many children with autism engage in repetitive movements such as rocking and twirling, or in self-abusive behavior such as biting or head-banging. They also tend to start speaking later than other children and may refer to themselves by name instead of “I” or “me.” Children with autism don’t know how to play interactively with other children. Some speak in a sing-song voice about a narrow range of favorite topics, with little regard for the interests of the person to whom they are speaking.

Many children with autism have a reduced sensitivity to pain, but are abnormally sensitive to sound, touch, or other sensory stimulation. These unusual reactions may contribute to behavioral symptoms such as a resistance to being cuddled or hugged.

Children with autism appear to have a higher than normal risk for certain co-existing conditions, including fragile X syndrome (which causes mental retardation), tuberous sclerosis (in which tumors grow on the brain), epileptic seizures, Tourette syndrome, learning disabilities, and attention deficit disorder. For reasons that are still unclear, about 20 to 30 percent of children with autism develop epilepsy by the time they reach adulthood. While people with schizophrenia may show some autistic-like behavior, their symptoms usually do not appear until the late teens or early adulthood. Most people with schizophrenia also have hallucinations and delusions, which are not found in autism.

This is what i found on internet, hopes it helps

I heard from one of my friends that her cousins that live in Florida got the H1N1 vaccine and a week later they were Autistic. Their parents signed papers that said they couldn’t sue them for it. Can that really happen? Does it happen to everyone?

Yes, it can. It can also more likely cause Guillian Barre.
However, not all people will be affected if they get the FluMist vaccine.

Appears indifferent to surroundings
Appears content to be alone, happier to play alone
Displays lack of interest in toys
Displays lack of response to others
Does not point out objects of interest to others (called protodeclarative pointing)
Marked reduction or increase in activity level
Resists cuddling

Young children with autism usually have impaired language development. They often have difficulty expressing needs (i.e., use gestures instead of words) and may laugh, cry, or show distress for unknown reasons. Some autistic patients develop rudimentary language skills that do not serve as an effective form of communication. They may develop abnormal patterns of speech that lack intonation and expression and may repeat words or phrases repetitively (called echolalia). Some children with autism learn to read.

Autistic children do not express interest in other people and often prefer to be alone. They may resist changes in their routine, repeat actions (e.g., turn in circles, flap their arms) over and over, and engage in self-injurious behavior (e.g., bite or scratch themselves, bang their head).

Other symptoms in young children include:
Avoids cuddling or touching
Frequent behavioral outbursts, tantrums
Inappropriate attachments to objects
Maintains little or no eye contact
Over- or undersensitivity to pain, no fear of danger
Sustained abnormal play
Uneven motor skills
Unresponsiveness to normal teaching methods and verbal clues (may appear to be deaf despite normal hearing)

Research has shown that autism occurs more often in first born children and males. My daughter (first born) was an incredibly easy, cuddly baby, but definitely displayed language/communication delays. Her diagnosis is Pervasive Developmental Disorder – Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS).
